Hello and welcome to the new web page for Benwell and Scotswood. We want to make this page both an interesting and useful place to visit time and again. Once you have looked at the information please contact your Senior Communities Officer if you feel that there is something we have missed out, if you have a news story for us or would like to promote your group or organisation.
This site gives you the opportunity to 'have your say' and find out what is going on in your local area.
Every neighbourhood in Newcastle will be brought up to a decent standard under a new set of proposals by the city council.
The council, with residents, wants to create its own Decent Neighbourhoods Standard to ensure consistently good services in each of the city’s 26 wards, with services such as street cleaning, graffiti removal and bin collection being constantly monitored and improved.
Residents who would like to make their views known should visit http://www.letstalknewcastle.co.uk/consultations/index/13 and take part in an online survey.
We are planning a series of public consultations for people to share their views on how we can make improvements to adult learning.
If you are interested in taking part please let us know at newcastlecitylearning@newcastle.gov.uk quoting 'adult learning' and stating which event you would like to attend, or call Lizzie Mott on 0191 2986969.
All events will be from 6.00 - 7.30pm
Monday 20th Feb at WestGate College
Wed 22nd Feb at Heaton Centre
Mon 27th Feb at Gosforth Academy
We are interested in hearing from current and past learners, but also people who have not been involved in adult learning before.
